MRU joined Commercial City Clinic in raising awareness about STI’s and the use of condoms as a method of prevention. This week is used to draw attention to testing for STIs and also stressing the importance of using condoms as a barrier method that prevents, STI’s, pregnancy and also HIV.

The National condom week is timed to cover Valentine’s day and clients were told about STI’s, what causes them and how they can prevent them. The clinic also highlighted the types of services they provide in order for people to get tested. Clients were also taught about both male and female condoms and they were encouraged to use condoms. Both condoms were distributed to clients.
