The SOAR project (Supporting Operations AIDS Research) is a global HIV and AIDS operations research project to inform programmes and policy. SOAR held a joint research advisory group meeting in Pretoria on 6 November 2019, with representatives from the Population Council, USAID, MRC/Wits-Agincourt, Sonke Gender Justice, Aurum Institute, CCI, MRU and the Department of Health (Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal).
The objectives of the meeting were to increase awareness of SOAR study findings and recommendations, and to obtain input on policy/programmatic recommendations, challenges to research use, and data use plans and champions for promoting key research findings and recommendations.
