On the 29th of January 2019, at TB/HIV Care offices in Durban, a meeting was held with Aids Health Foundation (AHF), Durban Lifeline, Sisonke, TB/HIV Care, MatCH Research Unit (MRU), North Star Alliance, Sex Workers Education Advocacy Taskforce (SWEAT), members of the SAPS and Asijiki. The intention of the meeting was to share advocacy strategies to advocate for the law reform for the Decriminalization of Sex Work. MRU supports decriminalisation of sex work because under decriminalisation, sex workers would more easily get fair treatment from health services, including getting condoms and HIV care and treatment
